In order to avoid possible conflicts of interest, the Board voted not to hire any homeowner or resident owned companies to take on large projects
At the May Board meeting, the previously passed motion not to put new lane lines in the main pool was rescinded at the request of the pool committee. Wear and tear on the old lane lines during the on-going construction was felt too severe not to replace the lines.

Actions Without a Meeting in May (requiring all 7 Board members to vote yes) was given to installation of an ADA ramp alongside Clubhouse 1 from Deep Harbor to the Main Pool and to add sandstone color and a simulated flagstone stamp design into the concrete deck at the Main Pool.
Board members submitted comments on the revised CC&Rs and By-laws being developed by the CC&R homeowner committee to that committee.
The Landscape Chairman was given an allowance of $500/month to do on-the-spot approvals of landscape maintenance without waiting for Board approval. This should speed up the process of maintaining our landscape.
A study was presented to the Board regarding the costs of replacing old end-of-life hedges with drought resistant plantings. Costs of various configurations ranged from $500 to $1500.
Board approval was given to hire Advanced Reserve Solutions, Inc to do an on-site inspection as part of the 2009 Reserve Audit.
Consideration of installing solar heating at the Main Pool which is an on-going study by the Pool Committee was tabled until August.
Due to Kay Stimmler’s resignation after many many years of service as Clubhouse Reservation contact, the Board has developed a new process for clubhouse reservations. This process is being sent to homeowners for comments.
