| Beachwalk homeowners are now
able to have the option to remove their home’s arbor.
This can be accomplished by following these simple guidelines:
1. A complete and descriptive application must be submitted.
This includes a diagram and all pertinent information necessary
for the removal or modification.
2. The homeowner must agree that any Architectural modification
will be done in a professional manner.
3. If the arbor is shared between two properties the homeowner
must obtain written approval, signed by the adjoining property
OWNER (not renter) agreeing to the removal. The approval letter
must be attached to the Architectural application for the
removal or it will be denied. If no adjoining property is
involved, no letter is required.
4. When planning an arbor removal above a wood fence, you
MUST take into account any support beam(s) that may hold the
fence or gate in position. If the arbor is removed and the
crossbeam is no longer there, then the current post that is
anchoring the gate or fence must either be replaced with a
new sturdy post or be reinforced. If the property owner replaces
the fence with a block/stucco wall, then the wall will be
self-supporting and will not need additional support.
5. If the beams of the arbor penetrate stucco of any structure
and the complete arbor, including beams, is to be removed,
all stucco must be patched (in a professional manner) according
to the texture of the existing building and painted to match
existing colors.
6. Upon completion of the project, the homeowner MUST follow
the “Compliance Inspection” policy as described
in item (9) of the Architectural Request Procedure. This procedure
is required to be read in advance and then checked "as
read" in the "check box" located on the Architectural
application.
