                                             Meet the Candidates!

On March 1st candidates declared their intention to run for the 3 open Board positions. If there are 3 or more applicants there will be a candidate forum on Wednesday, March 10th at 6:30 at the Clubhouse. The final information will be posted online announcing the candidates. The candidate forum will allow you to meet the candidates and hear them respond to questions having to do with our community’s future plans.

Please Vote

There are important issues on the ballot that require you to vote. When Beachwalk authorizes a vote it costs homeowners roughly $3,000 to get the ballot ready and in the mail.  We need enough ballots returned to validate the election. The election is expensive and it would be a shame to waste the money and effort it takes to run an election and have it fail due to lack of validation. Your vote will give us needed direction. If you are a homeowner and don’t receive the ballot, please contact Keystone immediately and return your ballot as soon as possible

Board Meetings

The Board meetings are an important part of the month. It is the only time Board members can conduct business as a group. The challenge continues to be a way to find a balance between valuable homeowner input and getting through our agenda. We welcome your suggestions during the homeowner forum, but after that as the Board discusses the issues, people in the audience are reminded of additional information they want to add. As the President it is my responsibility to keep order while moving the meeting along. Frequently homeowners have important information to contribute but it derails the meeting. It is equally difficult to allow one person to speak and not another. I will pilot a system in March that allows homeowners to provide the Board with additional information in writing.
